PTPA Hosts Players in Paris Ahead of Roland Garros

During the final week of May, the PTPA team gathered in Paris to meet with players and other stakeholders ahead of Roland Garros, and to host a two-day, player-exclusive glam suite experience at the Shangri-La Hotel Penthouse Suite.

On day one of the player hospitality experience, the PTPA hosted a dinner and meeting with its Executive Committee. Since its formation in January, the Executive Committee has supported the PTPA’s mission with months of virtual meetings and work, but the Paris gathering marked the first time all eight Executive Committee players and the PTPA team joined together in person.

The inaugural Executive Committee is led by Paula Badosa, Novak Djokovic, Hubert Hurkacz, John Isner, Ons Jabeur, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Vasek Pospisil, and Saisai Zheng.

Day two of the PTPA’s player glam suite experience focused on providing players an opportunity to gather, unwind, and receive a bit of Parisian pampering ahead of the main draw’s start. As part of the experience, the PTPA provided players with various wellness services, including free facials, manicures, hair services, makeup services, food and drink prepared by the Shangri-La’s Michelin Star chef, and premium gift bags featuring a variety of health, wellness and fashion products.

In addition, the PTPA offered players the opportunity to shoot social media content while enjoying the suite’s stunning view overlooking the Eiffel Tower. As many players have expressed inadequate access to content creation support, the PTPA invited players to create their own professional-quality content with the team’s on-site photographers and videographers. As part of the content experience, players also had the opportunity to partake in a staged shoot with Christophe Meimoon, a renowned celebrity and fashion photographer.

That evening, the PTPA hosted a group of players at the Beyonce Renaissance World Tour concert at Stade de France, giving players an additional opportunity to connect with each other and relax and rejuvenate ahead of Roland Garros’ start.
